FINDING MARTIN is a text-based adventure game and an interactive time travel story. As a player you'll type short sentences to investigate the mysterious disappearance of an eccentric friend. The game responds to your commands and questions, presenting you with challenges, tools, information, and opportunities. In order to solve certain puzzles, you must to cooperate with your own self on different time-travel trips to the same event.
This game was written by Gayla Wennstrom in 2005, and was named as a finalist for the 2005 XYZZY Awards in the categories of "Best Game" and "Best Puzzles." Its style resembles Infocom's "Zork" and "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" text adventure games, which are the copyrighted property of Activision and not affiliated with this site.
"Finding Martin" can be played for free by downloading the "HTML TADS Player Kit" from http://www.tads.org/tads2.htm. Once you have a player's kit, you can download the game itself here: Finding Martin.
